Carl Brown, Jr. joined the APCA provider team in July of 2017. Carl is an experienced practitioner and certified Physician’s Assistant who has lived and worked in Alaska for over 39 years in the capacities of surgical technician, surgical assistant and primary care/urgent care practitioner. Carl has worked in clinic and hospital settings, both in rural and urban Alaska.
Carl received his physician assistant training at the University of Washington’s MEDEX Northwest PA Training Program and obtained a Bachelor’s in Health Science from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Carl has also served in the U.S. Army and is currently a member of the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol).
Carl believes there is always something new that can be learned and applied to his profession. He considers it a privilege to care for fellow Alaskans and an expression of his faith to provide the highest quality of care possible. When he is not working, Carl can be found engaging in outdoor activities such as fishing, riflery, and gardening.
